My NE region map update says 2023-2. Seems a bit old. No? I’ve paid BMW for connected services. Is there a way to force an update, or am I current? Thanks.

Log on to your connected drive and assuming the car is in its first 3 years or you have paid for the map usb update yearly subscription, you can down the latest map onto a usb drive to update the maps in the car

You’ll need a minimum 64GB usb drive to do this

Once downloaded , just put into the usb socket next to the drinks holder and the car will detect the update and ask if you wish to update the maps

Takes about 20-30mins or thereabouts

The maps come out every quarter, you’ll often see someone here report when they’ve come out , bmw won’t notify you

You may on occasion get an OTA map update which is a smaller update. I got 2 on my pre LCI g30. It have never seen one yet on my LCI

The map update is a bit buried away on the connected drive website .

Check that you have your region correctly set in the connected drive portal.
