Question Is XHP allowed on a leased 540i?

This is my first ever leased car, I have a 2023 540i. I was planning on getting a muffler res delete and just putting it back on after, like a bunch of people do. But I had a friend give me the idea of maybe getting XHP and my question is, will it completely ruin my contract/void my warranty? I know it might void my warranty but how significant would this be? I will also definitely flash it back and have everything be back to bone stock, but would I still be penalized? Just need some advice, I really only want XHP to also have upshifts because I know they have a torque reductor or some bs now. Any advice works.

You have a lease, so you are basically renting an expensive car. If you alter components or software on your rental and it is discovered by BMW, they are going to throw the book at you.

TBH, they should, too.

Yes you can’t make any modifications unless you have their permission

There was a video posted some time back where a you tuber leased I think it was a m4 and made some changes and showed these on you tube. BMW FS then demanded he paid the full amount for the car .

It’s not worth it . If you really must make changes, buy out the car then that’s up to you.

Yeah, you really don't own the car, so it is similar to vandalizing, for lack of a better word. It is not yours.

Now if you make the decision now that you are going to buy it off lease, it is a little more palatable.
