fuel tank gauge error

Hey guys, got this error yesterday. Is this a sensor issue? Had a flag fire yesterday that I had to tow the car and this appear right after, not sure if related.

Do a search for the hidden menu as there is an option in there to display the contents of the 2 sensors in the fuel tank.

fuel tank gauge error

I have been working with the dealer to get this sort out for more than a year.
First they replaced the fuel sensor but the fault persisted. I went into the car's diagnostic mode, it shown the sensor is reading correctly. I actually took the fuel in and out to get the actual measurement right. The diagnostic display show the sensor is OK but the display is way out. The display behaves like this, After dropping to 3 quarter full, it reads less and less until fuel out warning.

Last week they told me it's the KOMBI unit and they were ordering the part from Germany.
They also told me that they could detect a fault code on the KOMBI unit but I used a FOXWELL scanner to scan the car, no KOMBI related fault was registered. I also used the scanner to check the tank, it did pickup the sensor reading which correct but the display reading isn't available
