Anyone try to fit a roof rack from a 3 series on a G30?
Hi, Has anyone tried to put either an older roof rack or one from a 3 or 4 series on the G30? In my research it looks like the ends of the bars are adjustable, so even if the bars are a different length, but I've also seen that they are adjustable. So I'm wondering if anyone has tried it or has an opinion about it. I'm thinking about a cheap used pair from a 3 seires to fit onto my 2023 530e. Thx!

I may be late to your party but thought I would share a couple of observations from my roof bar search.
I ordered some bars for my 2020 G31 which arrived whilst I had a 2023 330e courtesy car from the garage. The bars did not fit the rails on the 3 series with insufficient range to clamp down onto the , presumeably, narrower /thinner rails. Have had my G31 return I fitted the bars which seem to fit pretty well. HOWEVER! The supplier has said they are not for my car, weird considering the description was for G31 5 series 2017+.he has said return for refund. I am still trying to work out if theres a language barrier or something else. I was trying to work out if bars from an F11 will fit, lots of suppliers claiming common fitment! Anyone know either way? |

Most bars are adjustable and use different foot packs depending on car. I have used the same Thule aero bars on X3, X5, Q7, M3 but just swapping out foot packs.
