Hey everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself as I just took ownership of a 2023 540i Alpine White with Cognac interior.

I am coming from an Audi A4 Quattro S-Line that I just sold. Before that, I had an Infiniti G35xS sedan.

I am familiar with forums, but just wanted to say hello and that I look forward to learning more about BMWs and the 540i.

Nice. Tis the best color combo and engine. And you got rid of your dreadful VW product.

Yes a very smooth engine indeed.

Personally think the g30 is one of BMWs best models.

I wish BMW would bring the Red/Burgandy interior back.
It's just so dramatic and contrast to any exterior color.

Just a few days ago, I had a G35x in front of me messing with me passing him on the fast lane. Kept blocking me, etc. Must have thought I was a 540.
When I passed him in full boner mode, he gave me the thumbs up.

Dark burgundy would be nice. Also, my wife loved the dark blue interior that our long ago white 1981 528 had. BMW did dark blue sporadically after that but never when we were looking for cars. Would like that see that color combo again. --Bob

Yep very similar. In my 1981 528i I recall it having been a bit "bluer", if that is a word. And I have seen the blue interior from time to time when I was selling BMWs (2007-2014) but it never was available in a 3 series (for my wife) when we were looking for a car. I see on the BMW build site that blue is currently not available on 3 or 5 series, but a dark burgundy is available on the 5 series. It was a cloudy day and the blue is brighter and contrasts more against the black in the sunlight.
