Alexa…
I decided to extend my BMW service package in the Black Friday sales which turned out a bargain. Just €230 for both my cars (G30 and F46), until 2024 or 160k km's whichever comes first. A fraction compared to what you normally pay!
However I was lured into their other discounts and upgraded my ConnectedDrive package for an extra 30eur and ended up with Alexa! However, I find it's very limited, which is a shame. Can anyone share what functionality is removed when driving? I've also found it's necessary to build routines to make some devices work, such as my Ring Alarm which I can now enable by voice as I drive away. (Brilliant). Any other ideas, tips to manage the given limitations of the system?

Interesting that you were allowed an extension to your existing sub. In the uk that is not possible thus rendering the offer valueless to most people who wish to keep an active sub.
Only way round it is to let your sub lapse until black whatever. You then rub the risk of the offer never appearing. Here Alexa is free. I now know why |

My MY2020 with 7/21 system update works as expected with the new Pixel 6 (Android 12). The contacts are automatically updated and Alexa seems to work same as my Echo at home. At first I had to make the Apps connection manually but now it happens automatically. I can use AA and Alexa together. I mostly use it to open/close the garage and entertain the grandkids.
