Missing calendar in iDrive

Any one else lost their calendar in iDrive?

Don't use it very often but went to use it today and found it's gone from connected drive in iDrive.

Tried Bluetooth and usb. No joy

I noticed this a couple of weeks ago in my car. Like you I didn't use it all that often but occasionally it came in handy.

We will have to see if this comes back via a update to the myBMW app. The previous BMW Connected app supported calendar integration and would pass this information to iDrive. Now that it is retired so is the feature unless the new app gets it.

Hopefully it gets it with improvements.

Another missing feature is the ability to share ETA information. Was handy especially when sending to someone without iOS (CarPlay only does this to iOS users)

Thanks Logical. I'll stop trying to find it!

Another example of the new all being poorer than the old one. Actually I have just got an update flagged with exciting features such as BMW Points, online service check in ( available for a long time), news and criteria from the world of BMW. Please.......

Hopefully just slowly them rebuilding.

A nice new feature for us on this side of the pond is finally we get charging history on the PHEVs. Your side had this months ago though…

But why not rebuild before replace.

I was beta testing for a company employed by bmw called testbirds. In the end I left as it was so tortuous reporting issues

I agree they should have switched over when they had it at feature parity...

But since they already have Calendar Permissions requested in the myBMW app, but don't yet have the feature in place. I can only hope it means they are testing it out and we'll get it back soon.

now that most BMW's made in the last few years have Apple Carplay +/- Android Auto, it would be more convenient to use the calendar app on the smartphone, making BMW's calendar altogether obsolete.

Here's the reply from BMW

Thanks for your email about the Calendar function in your BMW.

With the recent changeover from the Connected App to the My BMW app, the Calendar function hasn't been integrated with the My BMW app so it's no longer possible to use.

I realise this isn’t the response you were hoping for but I hope it’s clarified the situation.

Thanks for the heads up. Will check it out when near the car.

This from the app:
This app update includes new and optimised features, e. g.
- Display locking status regardless of status indicator "ALL GOOD"
- Display of tyre pressure in vehicle status
- Automatically capture calendar entries with addresses for route planning
- Charging-optimised route for all-electric BMWs
- Use of the app in demo mode

The availability of individual functions depends on vehicle configuration and country.

Yes works for me in app but I was hoping for the calendar in the car to come back.

Also can't see tyre pressures in app. Maybe because it's on id6?

The feature I miss the most is the calendar integration. I put everything in my exchange calendar, like appointments with addresses etc etc. I used to get notifications on my phone saying "Please leave now to get to your destination" then when I hoped into the car I would get the iDrive screen notification of my destination automatically starts my navigation
