Really? I thought the comfort seats would hold you in just as well, as they have have the adjustable side bolsters etc.
The back bolsters are adjustable but not the bucket of the seat itself. It's definitely comfortable but others have mentioned somewhere on here as well that the sports seats hold you a bit better.
I'd agree on this. If you have lumbar support, etc. then sports seats are pretty good these days.

That's why if I get nappa i'd get black, although I do prefer the cognac colour especially with the contrast black stitching.
Thanks, good spot I had missed that will make sure I add. I still keeping switching on car colour as well can't decide between med blue and blue stone.

Bluestone is classy, but a bit boring. Definitely go with Med blue, just look at Zigmund’s:

I have a 12v socket in the back console without having added any option. Does he option give you extra ones?

Oh hehe - nice looking car that

Seriously though that med blue with cognac is a classic combo now. Add a nice ceramic coating and that shine just lifts it another few rungs!

Oh that explains that then.

Something else I noticed is your exterior door handles have chrome on them, but doesn’t seem to be on the configurator, did you add it?

No - nothing special ordered. It's just an m sport with all the default trim options.

I just went into the dealership and the ones in there have the chrome on the handles, strange that they don't on the configurator!

I believe that the chrome is on the luxury model, not the sport model

Also made me realise just how nice the bog standard M Sport is, so I'm thinking about going with a lower spec and saving a large chunk of money, will still be a very nice car I think:

530d Xdrive M Sport Saloon

Mediterranean Blue
Cognac Dakota Leather

Folding Mirrors
Parking Assistant Plus
Head Up Display
HK Sound
Sun Protection Glass
12v Power Sockets
Split folding Rear Seats
Steering Wheel Heating
Active Cruise Control
High Beam Assistant

MSRP £56,910

That's a good spec, you won't be disappointed with that at all.

Cheers mate. I calculate the £4k less will save me around £80pm. I might just add the adaptive headlights back on if the dealer gives me a really good deal.

Defo get the lights. After HUD that's a game changer for 6 months of the year when we're pretty much in darkness...

I virtually never drive in the dark, and when I do it’s always on street lit roads so I would just be getting them for the nicer Icon DRL’s.

I think the chrome was standard on all models in here UK until the recent change to MY2019 which removed it. Even the M5 has the chrome, weirdly.

Sorry that's not accurate. I got my car without chrome last November. It was ordered in August and I didn't specify no chrome.

However, I could have taken chrome if I wanted to for no extra cost. It is an option you can select as "Chrome Line Exterior'. And it's still available if anyone wants it including current models.

Looks a really good spec. I keep flip-flopping as well, between extras or lower cost. Petrol vs Diesel. It's so easy to add items you are never going to use/never miss if you don't have them. I really need to step away from the configurator, it's the devil's work.

As you are getting HUD, I think it makes sense to get the tech pack. With the tech pack you get the HUD as well as Enhanced Bluetooth. I know you could code enhanced Bluetooth but you get two USB ports as part of that. If I'm not mistaken it also adds a second microphone which improves voice quality.

I know what you mean I'm spending far too much time on the configurator too! There's so many options for the 5 series and before you know it you've added the price of a small car in options!!

My 2018 530e with MSport package built in November 2017 has the chrome inserts on the handles.

Ah fair enough, sorry I got that wrong.
I don't have a problem with the chrome line look, but the door handles always looked odd to me, especially on the M5.
