The Laserlights is a NO for United States. it's still questionable if ID7 is included or not, there's zero mention of it at this point... the new Dash and the engine are confirmed via pictures and European official BMW sites (like UK & Sweden). I think some are assuming ID7 is part of the new dash, which might be right, but again, it's not confirmed as far as I have found.

Hush and lack of details is not unusual for BMW. Live Cockpit Pro isn't happening without iDrive 7. LCP is already announced and in the US order guide. Some of the features that make LCP worthwhile need iDrive 7. I'll be beyond surprised if I'm incorrect.

maybe they're not saying anything at this time due to the long list of lingering issues with iDrive 7. Lol.

BTW, I'm also expecting to see the B58M1 engine in the 540 for 2020. Same engine in the 2020 740 and other models.

Would imagine laser light for 5 series is an easy thing, just detuned for US like other model...

2019 M5 Base $102,700 and 55% residual + $5000 lease credit
2019 M5c $110,000 and 55% residual + $0 lease credit
Why are there such different rates/incentives for very similar models? I just priced one out for here in Canada....lease rate is 8% for M5, 2.5% for M550i. Giant difference in finance rate as well (4% vs 1.5%).

As they basically just saying 'people willing to get an M5 are more willing to make more emotional decisions in other areas'?

Combination of factors. Resale value on M cars is usually poor resulting in a lower residual and supply and demand is different. Those differences are huge, but the M5 in US went through a similar gap in lease rates from 2018 to 2019 cars.

BMW builds fewer M cars as its a specialty/niche market model. The main customer of an M5 is an enthusiast who will figure out how to buy one, with incentives not being the driver to make deals.

Then there's long term running cost which is higher on the M5. i.e. compare the cost of a brake job. This impacts the second hand market significantly, along with just fewer buyers in general who even know the difference (or care) between an M5 and M550.

Not until they work out the kinks in that V8

Nice - but chipped I can beat that in my 2016 550i MSport Xdrive. Not that I'm bashing it - not at all. I wouldn't invest in a new car like this with all the unknowns on the engine. God only knows how many issues we had w/ the F10 series for years before BMW fixed "some" of them. No, I will wait. Damn nice car though.
