Looks decent. However am I the only one that sees the hockey stick design cues everywhere in this car? In the side design aft if the front tire. In the front fascia. In the tail lights. Interior bits. It's a little much.

It looks great, I like it a lot!
I only wished they had made it a little more unique like the old 540 M-Sport. I'm not a big fan of the dual flat exhaust tips as it looks like a Lexus. A single large exhaust pipe would have looked better IMO, unique. I do not care about the small M badges on the sides. A single M-550 badge would be appropriate enough and distinguish it from the M5, less is more. I would preferred the crossed drilled brake rotors as well to make it more aggressive. But overall IMO great execution.

"Even a small update for the M550i. For the US-Models: The models that will be produced in the next days are mostly "photo cars". Most of them are going to produced with the option "without additional designation outside" - the small "M"-badge on the fenders is omitted (optioncode 3DZ). This means that it will probably be possible for the US-models to cancel the model lettering on the fender." Last edited by 4BMWGarage; 12-08-2016 at 12:41 AM.. |

isnt that the point though? its an understated luxury sedan that just happens to be quick. i think you'll see the m5 be more bold. The f10 550 was no different than the msport 528/535s except for the exhaust tips really.

Not terrible but nothing really special for the 90-100k that this will be. The interior is nice also but nowhere near an Audi. Ill take a 2017 LCI S6 and save the 10-15k ANYDAY.
And any car this big will simply not be the "ultimate driving machine". |
