540 at port for 1.5 months?

Hi All,

I've got a 540 on order that has been sitting at port for about 1.5 months so far. Is this normal for the 5 series? I got an M3 earlier this year that only sat at port for about 1 week before being shipped, so wondering if things have changed since then. SA says no stop sales on the car. Appreciate any info - thanks!

Some people waiting long, like you, is not unusual today.

Is yours at Bremerhaven port or your local VPC?

My 530e has been at the west coast port in Oxnard for one month. It was held up for the trunk actuator 'recall/stop sale'.

Production date was first week of May.

I was notified today the car will be at the dealer on Sunday, ready for pickup on Tuesday.

Our 540i sat around about that long as well. Total time from order to delivery was about five months.

Yes, long delays at Oxnard are the norm for at least the past year. My car sat there for 5 weeks. Some of the delays are due to the lack of transportation to the dealer.

Thanks for the input everybody, it's still at the port overseas. Guess my wife (but mainly me) will need to be patient.
