Am I the only one whose dash rattles like a can of marbles?
Well, not quite as bad as that. Some days quiet, can’t get a rattle if you tried. Today, after driving with the sun beating down on the plastic, rattles like crazy. Was hoping to keep the car off lease due to the current market but now don’t know. Appreciate advice. Thanks.

Not a squeak. However I had a rattle in my old E60 after I bought it. It annoyed the shit out of me when idling at stop lights. I scheduled a service appointment— they could hear it too (so no issue making the case). I had a loaner for two days while they figured it out. They said they took the whole dash apart and tightened things down. All I know is they fixed it under warranty. I was impressed. Give that a shot unless you're out of warranty.

Hi, I’m the OP. Took car to Freehold BMW last week and rode with a most patient service Mgr. But dash was simply not rattling. Nothing could be done. Very weird how it’s dependent on a mix of outside temperature and sunshine! I’d love to get inside there myself but I know I’d probably make things worse!
