Grieving for sold E90 320D

Hi guys, just wanted to share my feelings with you after selling my black E90 320d & buying a 2021 G20 320i.

Man I love the new car so much, she looks amazing in Portimao blue and I blagged black wheels as part of a refurb deal. The tech is impressing blah blah blah … BUT I am so grieving for my 320d! She (she / maybe he, I’m not sure) had 193,000 miles on the clock and I had it remapped up to 224hp / 441 nm six years ago, so it was a little rocket ship and incredibly economical. But, I just loved driving that car so much! Over 10 years we did 140,000 miles together, so I feel like I’ve thrown my loving partner out for no reason!

Has anyone else suffered this grief? How long did it last, will I ever get over it?😭

Yeah, we sure do get attached to things, don't we! I still think about my little '91 325i and think about what a GREAT car it was! Hopefully the new 320i will serve you well over the next decade!

Last week I sold my E90 to a small dealership then bought some green thing I thought was a BMW. I went out looking at it the next day and was like "oh god, wait, no, what did I do?? What is this?" My heart began to sink. Fortunately, it was all a dream.

That was a great machine, I remember my friend had one.

What a nightmare!
The dealer offered me £100 for mine 🤣
I actually sold it for £1500 privately, which I thought was fair with full 12 months MOT but dead a/c and dead driver’s side central locking.
