I understand that the driver's seat can be configured to move back to facilitate entering or exiting, similar to the way the steering wheel goes up.

However, I can't find any reference to this function in the owner's manual.

Anyone know how to enable it on a 2022 M550ix?

I've coded every module I've found coding for, and it only partially works. The upper portion of the seat reclines, but the seat doesn't move back.

It's really silly that this feature isn't there. It's a pretty common feature these days.

My previous Infiniti’s and Lexus had this feature. I really liked it and miss it.

I had it coded on my prior BMW (2016 330e) but not on my 2018 530e. It would seem a simple matter (roll seat back upon turning off car, roll back to preset position after turning car back on).

I guess if you really wanted the seat to function this way, you could do a work around by setting position 1 to your driving position and setting 2 to the farthest back position. Then just hit the 2 when you park and hit the 1 when you get in.

Exactly what I did. I really like it. Not only do I have it programmed to recline, move back, but I also raise the seat up also. MUCH easier entry / exit.

My 2000 Lincoln LS did this. I also liked the adjustable upper seat belt point.
