Bump.

Any updates or rumors on weight? Any better idea when we will get official weight numbers?

We've got the numbers now, swamp. See the official F30 thread for reference.

"88-99 lbs. lighter depending on model"

So it is a little lighter. Nothing revolutionary, but certainly better than a weight gain like the 5 series had. It will be interesting to get some actual weights from owners to see how it plays out in real life. For example, I recall Nissan claiming some big weight loss from the 350z->370z changeover, but it turned out to be a lot less significant once you put two equivalently optioned vehicles on the scale.

.
Without official weights I would take this to mean the most likely comparison they are talking about here is 328 to 328. A four cylinder turbo should weigh at least 100 lbs less than an I6(could be quite a bit more) which means the rest of the car is at the most the same weight or possibly heavier.

Well know for sure when we have a 335 curb weight to compare to the e90. I'm guessing it will be heavier. But would be happy to be wrong.

Actually, my quote was inaccurate. In the other thread, Jason wrote "depending on engine". So, to me, that says that these cover all models.

Not necessarily. The turbocharger and related parts (such as intercooler) offset a lot of the weight lost from the reduction of cylinders.
