10.25" screen without silver trim
I'm looking to upgrade my 8.8" NBT screen with a 10.25" screen. Are there any options that don't have the silver trim?
With the screen being taller than the existing 8.8" and encroaching on my line of sight; I'd prefer to have an all black frame. Thanks |

I have several dead 10.25” units that I purchased to experiment on. Did not need them all. If you want to purchase some spares to experiment on to see what works best, message me.

Do I have to remove the trim to apply the vinyl? I'm thinking about blacking out mine. Chrome just doesn't go along with my interior.

I wouldn’t think so...as I haven’t made the attempt. However, I would suggest removing the screen as it’ll obviously be easier to work with and tuck into crevices .

Of course. I'll buy some chrome black vinyl and try.

I’d also suggest blue taping the screen to prevent accidental scratching .

You can buy some dead screens from me as OP did the experiment with.
Screen and trim housing can also be taken apart relatively easily. As with most BMW parts, just need to give it a push with trim tools. |

I do appreciate your help. I actually wished I had a broken screen to practice when I trim the back of the screen. From the back you can see it's a lot different if you are taking the screen apart to remove the silver trim.
