Good Deal? Used 2017 540i w/ nearly 20k in options

Found a 2017 540i M-sport w/ nearly 20k in options. Dealer (Seattle, WA area) is asking for 52950. KBB shows a much lower asking price (doesn't account for the 20k worth of options) - ranging between 43000 and 48000. Any thoughts or opinions?

Seems overpriced. It’s not even CPO since it’s not from a bmw dealer.

My car was 65k MSRP and I paid $58K new. That 540 is probably around 68-70k so new it was around $62k selling price. Two years old and used there’s no way it’s worth $53k

Here’s a 540 x drive from BMW Portland that is CPO and probably had a similar MSRP to the one you linked. It’s $3k cheaper but it does have more miles.

The MSRP of this vehicle was a whopping 77k. So I'm guessing it was sold for roughly 69k. What should this car be worth then?

Ah just saw the sticker in the photos. The only reason this car is $77k is because of the m-performance wheels and all the carbon fiber extras. No way that’s going to hold value in the used market, especially on a car that doesn’t even have multi-contour seats or Napa leather.

Personally I wouldn’t pay more than $50k at this point for any 2017 540 regardless of options. You’re also in Seattle area where most buyers prefer x-drive, which should further reduce the value of this. Without it being CPO, I’d probably not go over $45k

Here’s a 540i pretty similarlyequipped to the one you found without the carbon bits and the m performance wheels but it does have the 20” wheel upgrade and driving assistant plus 2, multi contour seats, and metallic paint which aren’t on the one you posted and it’s CPO for $48.5k asking price.

Everyone thinks they are overpriced until it’s time for them to trade their car in, then the dealer is scewing them.

$7,500 of that $19k in options is destination charge, wheels, and carbon fiber mirrors. None of which will hold it's value like an OEM package from the manufacturer in my opinion.

With that said, my 530i has every option from the factory (except for night vision) including the Bowers and Wilkins Surround sound system and Adaptive Suspension with Dynamic Handling Package and the MSRP was right around $72,000. I bought it in the mid $40s. It had 14,000 miles on it when I bought it. This was about 3 months ago or so. So I think that price is quite high. KBB should always be used as a good tool (as long as the car isn't rare/atypical) and if the price is much higher than KBB then it's most likely too expensive.

Hope that helps.

EDIT: I just looked at the interior and it does not have Drivers Assistance Plus Package. They claim it does, but it does not. It's missing the two buttons on the steering wheel. So I would stay away unless you can get the car for $46-47k out the door. Who knows what else they're not accurately describing?

+1. I also note that the seats are either Dakota or Sensatech, not Nappa. The headlights are not adaptive. The suspension is not adaptive as there is no adaptive mode button. The driver's seat upholstery is loose on the upper right section. The I drive screen seems to be the small one. I would run from this one as fast as I could.

There is only 1 size IDrive screen on the G30 in the US...do you mean that the dash isn’t the full digital dash?

Also, the headlights are definitely adaptive, they’re the icon adaptive lights

It has the standard m-sport 704 suspension instead of the adaptive suspension which is better if you prefer a sport feel... the adaptive dives and squats too much
