2008 m3 seats into a 2008 3 series

Hi guys I need some help

I have fitted the interior from an M3 into my standard 3 series m sport.
The current seats have electric hieght adjustment and recline and decline switches however the m3 as both the above and electric slide for back and forth movement as opposed to the manual pully at the front of the seat and electric lumber switchs plus three memory switch's.

Will this be a straight swope over ro do I need to mess about with the wiring?

Would expect that the necessary wiring is installed by default.

I would actually not expect the wiring to be there. Harnesses are very car-specific.

You might have to get creative here.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure there is a thread floating around that discusses the wiring process for going from a manual to power seat, might want to check and see if you can find it.

IIRC, you have to tap into another wire for power

The seats might be dependent on some type of control for the memory seat function.

For what it's worth, I have M3 seats that just plugged right in and function perfectly

I suggest you take apart the harness on the M3 and copy it on the 3 series.

When I swapped 2009 LCI sport seats to my 2007, I had to swap one wire before my passenger side began working.

My driver's side already worked, however.
