FS: Wavetrac 3.46 Automatic Differential (my rear end for your rear end)

** Tentatively SOLD **

Hi guys,

Prefer to keep this transaction local in So Cal. Link to original post: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=618646

I have just picked up a 335IS DCT and selling my '08 335I AT6 coupe; parting out what can't be transplanted.

For background info; the Wavetrac LSD is less than 10k mi and has Synergyn synthetic gear oil; I don't trac my car but have taken it for spirited drives through Ortega Hwy & Angeles Crest. I would like to trade my rear end with a Wavetrac 3.46 Automatic gearing rear end with your stock rear end + $1000. *I will also be giving you my stock Open Diff that came out of the pumpkin so in reality you are purchasing a pumpkin with the Wavetrac LSD already installed. Note that my original pumpkin work (installation of the LSD) was done in-house at Unitrax Driveline in Anaheim. All of the necessary bearings have been replaced. Labor/time savings here.

Preferably, the labor for the pumpkin swap will be done at LTBMW. We would have to inquire with Long/Ivan on the cost of the labor.

PM me if you are genuinely interested.

**My car is a 1/2008 build. The ideal candidate will have a similar open diff setup as my stock build.

I like to use shyestsparks' PM as an example.

Thank you for your time.
First it's a feeler post so I am trying to engage how much the market on the LSD is worth so I can sell appropriately. Hopefully this is a fair statement. In regards to the swap; we are trading rear ends: mine has the 3.46 Wavetrac LSD for your factory diff. The labor is whatever Long is going to charge to swap. Yeah, I forgot to mention that I'll give you my factory open diff as well. So its like you purchasing a LSD and saving the labor portion of disassembling the pumpkin, changing the bearings, and worrying about the thrust. Hopefully this will avoid confusion. I also did not mention the initial install was done at Unitrax Differential in Anaheim; one of Wavetrac's development partners and resellers.

So basically you are purchasing my pre-owned Wavetrac LSD mine as a used unit with all of the adjustments, bearings, and synthetic lubricant already in. We are swapping our rear ends. You keep my factory open diff (which is identical to the one inside your pumpkin). Cost is for my diff and Long's labor for the swap. Hopefully, this is fair.

I don't know what the market cost for the LSD is.

I'll jump on it if you don't SIKH! Traction is getting more and more problematic now that the outside temps are dropping.
