ID6 CarPlay navigation not HUD

When I use navigation within CarPlay, specifically Google Maps the directions are not on the HUD. I was under the impression it would be. Thoughts?

Pretty sure only Apple car play provides info in the HUd, other like google or waze do not

Nope, it’s a bummer. ID6 does not display turn by turn in HUD in Apple CarPlay no matter what app you use. BMW Nav will.

ID7 + does display Apple Maps in hud, but not others like Waze, Google etc.
