My favorite wood with a Caramel/Cognac interior is this, I believe it's mahogany, wish they offered it in the G30, although it would probably be too much given the large panel sizes.

Similar look to the "high gloss Vavona wood trim" in my E39 with gray leather. They must have had about 100 layers of clear coat on that wood.

The first M550 I looked at was CBM with Mocha. I think I would have bought it if they offered me what I wanted on the trade. So glad I didn't, Mocha looks good on the lighter colors like white, champagne, etc. I would not have liked it on a CBM (blue) car.

My 2019 540xi has the Cognac interior with the 4LG Burl Walnut Trim, a combination which I like a lot. Not the best picture but you get the idea. And I am a Grandpa, so the shoe fits.... --Bob

Ha…I also have Burled Walnut Grandad trim, makes the interior feel warm & cosy

Also note the steering wheel is on the RIGHT (correct) side

Mate…when we pass on-coming strangers on the left it leaves our sword arm towards the passer-by, hence steering wheel being on the correct side

I have to say I "warmed up" to it when I saw it in person...it's doesn't do a great job looking true to form in most photos, but it is rather nice in person.

Yeah I agree, when I saw the for sale pics of my G31 I was sure that I’d be swapping out the wood for Rhombicle Aluminium but when I saw it ‘in the flesh’ I decided that I rather liked it

I love the burl walnut. Had it on my 540 with beige Dakota. Awesome combo. Super classy. Burl is my favorite of the gloss wood trims that were offered on the G30.

Personal opinion, but the interior offerings were better pre-LCI. Burl was on the menu, as was merino.

In for service and I was right (is that good?)… coolant expansion tank being replaced. I told them I suspected a leak and they looked and confirmed.

Also recommending I need front brakes and tires (4mm).

I’d rather do the tires all at once, so I may see if I can’t juice another month or so out of them.
