Well, the CSL design has gotten everyone talking about it. Love it or hate it, think BMW must be pretty happy with that result - it got a lot of attention.

I personally think that whatever its goals were, it just does not look like a BMW. Maybe it is BMW's contribution to NASA's Journey to Mars theme and what Martian vehicles should look like.. just already admit it, BMW

Best BMW Concept ever. Makes the M1 Hommage and i8 look boring and outdated.

Cool Render

Great images, although I don't like the concept the base model looks promising with a lot of Italian design detail

Yep. Now I REALLY want one!!! This would look AWESOME going down the road. I'll take mine in Space Grey Metallic please, for a proper out of this world look. Also, love that ride height, lets keep it right there!

this could've been the bmw halo car everyone is waiting for but sadly the design team were tripping when they made it. what about those wings folded over the hood? the side grill should be a cool feature but they planted as an afterrhough. I like the side window profile but that line from the wing downwards to the side skirt is just too cartoonish. hopefully they put a real effort and love on their work next time they try to design something.
btw: that front fender is too similar to the one on the r35, and that's not a good thing...

However, I have to agree that older generation cars look good as well.
agreed. Bangle made the z4 and the e60, both of em, cars I really love. I have an e60 myself with a few mods and people always say it looks cooler than the new 5er. so its just not me who thinks it is cooler, same thing happens with the z4 being like a small little sexy car instead of bimmers sl.

As always nice pictures from Dacke, thanks for sharing.
No fan of the color of the 3.0 CSL Hommage though....

Doesn't embody what the csl represents. Lightweight high performance everyday car. Not a hypercar. The csl was simply stated. This concept is something else entirely. Love it or hate it, I don't feel CSL about it

Excellent photos, thanks for posting. About the concept i would say what the majority said. The front part still looks like s#!t And i would prefer it in the BMW Motorsport colours livery like the one that JONSIBAL made.

fyun89 - I thought the "flame surfacing" was very complicated and in the end added nothing to the visual appeal of Bangle's cars. The first Z4, for example, had all these complications that didn't add to its looks. (In my opinion, of course.)

Exactly. It's too busy a design, especially for a BMW.

Concours d’Elegance...

No, anyone may attend. The show is put on by BMW AG (nee BMW Classic)... but there are all kinds of classics there. Some of the cars even ran in the Miglia Miglia the week before! Its the end of a wnderfull two weeks or classic cars for BMW Classic.

Entry to the Concours d’Elegance is about ~25 euros per person.

http://concorsodeleganzavilladeste.com/event/2015

There are two main events: Villa d’Este and the grand exhibition space of Villa Erbe (where the Art Cars were this year along with RM Auction cars and bikes and classic cars from the BMW Museum collection. Both are MUST SEE's for any car lover.

Everyone should go see Lake Como at least once in their life. This is a great location for this event! There is a reason why George Clooney decided to live here!

BMW AG(Classic) have been running this car show for the last fourteen years. Hats off to BMW Classic for putting on(and managing) such a great car show!!

http://concorsodeleganzavilladeste.com/history

A trip South of the Alps is just what Dackel recommends! This year on my way back North to Germany... I decided to drive the Splügen Pass(CH)... it was a great choice to wind down a wonderful weekend away!

When it comes to "Innovation", it sometimes takes time for the cosmetic portion to take shape in my head. First glance at the car I didn't like it; however, the more I look at it i do appreciate the lines - Like the rear tail lights snaking around up and around the back.

Thanks for posting pix!
