Drive train issue

I have a 2019 540i X drive M Sport.

Drove to the office fine. Went out for lunch and upon start up I get a notification that there is a drive train issue. Says you can Drive but will experience reduced performance. Call to schedule service.

There was also a wrench in the center screen between the tack and Speedo

I called the dealer and brought the car in. Got a loaner and 2 hours later I got a call from the dealer that it needed to be re programed.

So far so good.

So... they just pressed <CTRL><ALT><DEL> on it? Did they offer any details of what actually failed?

What is says on the repair order is as follows.

Fault stored for wastegate end stop not learnt. Frequency one. No SIBs stored. Ran test modules. All completed with no problem found. Cleared faults. All ok.

I picked the car up at 8pm. Only the cashier and valets on site. Calling today before I’m leaving for Newport on Saturday and want some explainatuon of what caused it. .

That didn't actually work so they called BMW Germany tech support and they asked if they tried unplugging it and plugging it back in...That finally fixed the issue.
