Hello comrades,

So as title says I lost CarPlay (they also lost BMW navigation which later was restored by them) after bringing my G30 for recall (Program Control Units DDE) to Sytner UK.

Had no idea that CarPlay didn’t come from factory on this car as it is quite well equipped.

Now I want to activate it back on and I read in few forums that code remains in the iDrive and just needs to be switched back on again, if I understood correct!

Will I be able to do that via Bimmercode + Ethernet OBD cable + IPhone with right adapter?

Or

I will need Windows laptop and programming soft?

Requires CarPlay FSC again. But you have to pay again. Activation is possible with an enet cable and a PC with a good internet connection.
