It seems it is very difficult to find a wrap that match3s cerium grey.

These look like what I want to achieve but might be more work than I want to do. Basically they are F90 M5 look but in cerium grey.

I'm tempted but it's not just replacing the cover, but the front cover also. I don't want to screw anything up.

Anyone know if this is a difficult project to remove the cover and front piece?

I've got a set of sequential repeaters that I need to install. I'm very tempted to just remove the mirror. |

When I did it, a lot of force was needed. That's the hardest part. I used 1 screwdriver to put between each clip (there's two) to raise it a bit, while I use another screwdriver to push it outward. Once removed, it's easy to remove the lights - remove 2 screws and slide it out and put it on the new cover.
Here's another install video: |

So the product I had posted is not only the cover but the main structure also.

Cannot use just the cover. The triangular part of the cover is not solid like most covers, that's why you need the base also. This just the actual M5 mirror.

Based on their video it looks like any other cover being sold, including the M5. So I'm not sure where you got it's not as sturdy as any other on the market. Only difference I see is they're selling the case for the glass/electronics as a package. Btw I installed a gloss black M5 cover on my car. Removing the case is a little more involved, that's why I suggested just going the cover route.

Not solid, so it will have a gap without the base. Most fale M5 covers are solid to work with standard G30 mirros.

You're 100% right. Great catch. You'll definitely be left with the gap. So if you really want that color you're left with no choice but to remove. It's not overly difficult just more steps - remove mirror, case, cover in that order. After removing the mirror and case (case held by a few screws), the cover will be easy to remove.
