I've just had my photos back from our detailer. He did a great job, considering he had to take them indoors (it was pouring down when I collected it). It is sitting a little high in the photos because it has just come down off the lift. |

In his review video if the 530d touring, Joe Achilles says that ride comfort is terrible with 20 inch RFT and that the adaptive dampers can not compensate. Would you agree with this?

The only thing I do really notice is some tyre roar at motorway speeds, but only on certain types of road surface - textured concrete type roads are louder, but smooth asphalt is nice and quiet. I suppose it depends on your expectations. Joe Achilles doesn’t complain about the ride quality in his M550 or M5 reviews, even though both that he reviewed were on 20” wheels. I suppose most people expect a diesel touring to be softer. I wanted a sporty but comfortable ride, and that’s exactly what I feel like I got. I’m sure the 19” wheels would make the ride a little softer, but I love the look of the 20” wheels and would make the same choice again. |

So roads here are very good but impossible to keep a dark car clean, especially when it sleeps outside. |

You’re right about the rain here
I don’t regret choosing tanzanite, but it is hard work! Our car lives outside too, and I wash it once a week but it’s still filthy after a couple of long journeys. That will be a stunning car. I’ll look forward to seeing it! |
