Hello,

I have NBTevo_V and I want to unlock full screen Apple carplay.

I have bimmercode and the ENET cable.

Is it possible to go from NBTevo_V -> NBTevo_X that way I can easily enable the fullscreen?

Who can help or point me in the right direction?

I believe you have to have EVO firmware X or Y for it to work. You don’t even have to go to the advanced menu in BimmerCode anymore. It’s actually an option that shows up. I could be wrong about the version, but that’s what I remember reading. For what it’s worth, it definitely works with version Y.

If you’re trying to update the EVO firmware itself, that cannot be done with BimmerCode.

Assuming you’re still under factory warranty, go to your local dealership and complain about Bluetooth connectivity issues or that ConnectedDrive apps sometimes fail to open. That will force them to do a software update. Note that by doing so you will have to redo all of your coding again when you get your vehicle back. They won’t just update it upon request without a reason; otherwise, BMW not pay them for the work. It only takes them about an hour..

I hate to keep bringing this up, but this is when tipping or compensating your service advisor with free tickets to some sort of local event pays off…

I believe you can do it with the BMW iStep software and an ENET cable. Note that I have never done it and I believe the software has to be hacked to get the license for it to function since it’s really only meant for authorized service providers. They are plenty of people on this forum that can probably tell you how to do it.

You could always try to do it with BimmerCode with your current version. I had widescreen CarPlay before upgrading to Y, but I paid for it and it was done remotely through the seller’s remote provisioning process. BimmerCode does make a backup anytime you do coding, so you could always revert back if it does not work or causes you any problems.

There are definitely people on here that can do the work for you for a modest fee and can be done remotely in about 15 minutes.

will my car support apple car play full screen mode? Im getting mixed answers on forums, some say it will some say it wont work. Im going to be using the obd link cx adapter and i have purchased the full app version on my iphone. Also, will the app tell me if certain mods wont work on my car? For instance, lets say my car doesnt support full screen carplay, will bimmer code tell me that it doesnt or it will still code it and mess up my software?

Yes I requested to join last night haven’t checked yet.

Put an overall update:

I ended up contacting - “warpeddriveservices@gmail.com”

For $50 he sends you a vin locked app through windows.

After a 10minute download you fully unlock fullscreen CarPlay.

This only works if you already have CarPlay.

Honestly a easy seamless process.

Highly recommend!

You just have to check in bimmercode if the option for fullscreen is enabled.
You map version doesnt have any letters?

Tried the warped services, didnt work. I told him from the start i had Evo_L. He said online, it showed something different. Not sure why.

I gotta get my software updated and then i can enable it.

With warped services, no. My software would need to be updated.
