I am facing issue with my 2018 transmission
Its noticeable shifting when slowing down/accelerating. There is also a jerk in the 2th gear, when accelerating from 10 km/t there is a slight ' jump ' that can be annoying aswell.

The problem is the same regardless of drive mode ( sport - eco ) and is there on electrical mode and gas mode. auto H is off, i have reset adaptions and scanned for faults.

Next step is replacing oil.

Any recommendations here for further solutions?

I’ve had a similar thing with similar mileage 540i Xdrive. Is this something that just started for you, or was it gradual/always there?

I had the gearbox serviced the other week by ann authorized ZF shop and it made no difference, they couldn’t see any issues.

I’m currently trying to work out if it’s maybe something that’s always been there and now it’s on my radar I’m looking out for it, or if it’s just a character of the car? *shrug*

Okay, seen a couple of mentions of this. one person solved it by changing the magnets.

Either way the i will inform u about my oilchange.

BMW hasn’t really been helpful with it and it isn’t very common for me, but does occasionally occur. The car sort of lurches. Has done this since new from the factory.

Is it a regular occurrence?

Seems to be a fairly regular characteristic of how the car drives. Like, slowing at a traffic light, you feel the gears kick down which can make it difficult to come to a smooth stop. A linear depression of the brake pedal has a slightly jerky response as the speed reduces due to the gear shifts.

Not sure how hybrid cars work, but the OP mentions it happening in electric mode, does that still use the gearbox?

Fortunately I have yet to experience this.
2017 530i with 49,137 miles.

So i have now changed the oil. only made it slightly worse, used set from ZF, Now all gears are nudning... Nice.
