New 530e Delivered! - But there's a problem!

Hi All,

Finally, after 6 months wait my new 530e has been delivered! - But there's a problem!

I'm getting the message "Max eDrive not available: system request"

Any ideas?

Have you gone through a drive cycle and recharged? I am totally guessing, mine came with 131 miles on it, so it had been driven quite a bit before I got it. Just wondering if it needs to figure out it's battery?

+1. What are the rest of your specs? My 530e (arriving this week) is also bluestone.

Nice car.

I think it could be the battery temp too low? May have been stood for quite a while or something? It will probably become available within a few miles of driving.

Nice car. Enjoy it once you resolve your battery charging issue. I love the ivory interior...I just chickened out on my car.

So 65 miles and 24 hours later, I still have the same fault!

It's booked into the dealers for 27/12/17.

The only other thing I can think of is if the gear shifter is in sport mode. That will disable max eDrive.

Ok, very strange update for you. On Friday, three days and 200 odd miles after delivery, the car suddenly remembered it was a hybrid and started working properly!

No explanation for it, no reason.

Glad it started working! What kind of range does it say when you first start on a full charge?

At the moment it's showing about 19 miles. It was as high as 22, or as low as 14 when it was really cold!

It is to do with the outside temperature. Once this drops to close to freezing, Max eDrive will stop being available until the car has driven a few miles and had a chance to "warm up". My range has also dropped in the cold weather (16 miles at a push) but this is common with PHEVs apparently.
