It's too bad they don't offer Vernasca Cognac. I have it in my Mineral White X5 and it's outstanding.

I don’t think there are any 2021 with Bowers.

There is an AWESOME 2020 available also. I’d be all over it if I were still looking.

NGT2 thanks for the links brother!

Both are now on my radar. Much appreciated! If I could get that 2021 down to around $58k I would probably pull the trigger. That 20' looks beautiful. Looks like im flush with options. Im sure ill get over this conundrum quickly once I start diving into the search again.

Very few 21's had B&W, but there are a few out there where it made the cut.

That interior on the loaded 2020 is absolutely stunning. Not a fan of Azurite Black though and you know how I feel about those wheels on an M550.

Probably out of your budget, but not too far from you and very exclusive. I think if my car got struck by lightning and totalled, I would probably be looking at something like this.

You guys are starting to get me excited. If I really wanted to I could justify spending the fun tokens on this......and just may. Love that color and the price seems very reasonable. This comes from someone who has never extensively searched for M5s seriously.

Interesting, since Azurite is fairly similar to Carbon Black.

For that car, I’d take whatever wheels it came with. Especially getting that plum wood trim.

If you remember, the one I tried so hard to get was Azurite, Caramel Merino, with 668’s and Bowers. Still hate it never worked out but what’re you gonna do? I tried.

Hmmm….I do remember and maybe I’m confusing Azurite with Black Saphire. The pics in that post don’t do it for me, but you’re right, it has a little blue to it. Need to see it in person.

I like yours better.

I bet you’re thinking about a different color. Azurite was an individual color and all info says it’s like CB but possibly with a little more blue flakes in it. Whether or not it was worth paying up for when CB was also available for a fraction of the money, I can’t say. But from what I’ve read, I’d you like CB then you’d probably like Azurite also.

Thank you - I like mine a lot. And I grow fonder of the black leather every month I have it, especially with the 6 year old and with me being sweaty from golf all summer. And it just matches the exterior well.

I was probably thinking about black sapphire metallic which I had once and it had colored blue metallic flakes in it. Never really loved that color.

I googled Azurite. I stand corrected, it does look like a nice color and probably stunning in person. Does look close to CBM though, so agree, may not be worth paying individual prices. I love individual color options, but I'd want it to be well, "individual" and not close to a stock pallette color.

Update: Still waiting to hear back from Insurance on the $8k in repairs and charges. My thought process here is any additional cost to the insurance company is going to negatively impact my new premium or their appraised cash value of the car as I am sure they will find a way to recoup the costs.

I asked my SA at BMW to send me all the paperwork that I signed but she only sent me an unsigned copy of the work order. I asked for the actual copy that has my signature and initials but have yet to hear back from her. Since Geico is being told that there is a clause that I am responsible I want to see that for myself and that I have signed acknowledgement. From what I have been sent I don't see anything in there that states I am responsible as of now.

Have you made a statement to your SA that they misdiagnosed the car and performed fruitless repairs? Have you told them they are negligible for their incompetence?

Just curious what they say. Also, at the end of the day, you have nothing to lose in walking away and refusing to pay the bill. The car will be owned by Geico and the dealer has no right to refuse to release it (someone correct me if I am wrong). I'd preface your walking away from the bill with a letter from an Attorney.

No I have not, yet. I am waiting to see how it plays out between them and Geico. To be honest I do not think I am going to be billed anything. I think they are going to work out out with Insurance, but my main concern, even though it would probably have a very minimal impact, is that whatever Geico pays for parts will be made up for with the increase in my premiums. Lets say they get the bill down to $3k and instead of paying out $50k insurance has to pay out $53k at the end of the day, I doubt I would feel that on my end but at some point it comes down to principal.

Both Insurance and the Dealership are have the ability to take the hit. I on the other hand, in my opinion, should have zero impact financially from this situation for parts. I am just always looking out for how I can get screwed in the end with these big corporations because from my experience it happens 9 times out of ten. They are always going to find their way to get money from me somehow. Both insurance and the dealer.

Insurance can’t specifically raise your premiums. They have to set premium rates based on entire demographics. State, age, type of car, driving history, etc. They will likely put you in a risk class with other people that have had claims and that will likely raise your rate but that won’t have anything to do with the repair bill.

They may try to take the repairs out of their settlement with you for the value of the car, however. Just speculation on my part.
