You seem like you are well prepared and knowledgeable of the risks. I am sure you know, but don't accept the first buyout/total offer, there is always room. The insurance adjuster is trying to minimize their exposure.

Has the insurance company towed it off the BMW lot? Just curious. A lot of times insurance companies want to get it in their own yard to avoid paying storage fees. Not sure a BMW dealer would charge this.

But that would mean OP is paying from his pocket essentially. If the insurance co agrees to pay for it, then they should truly pay for it. Otherwise it is as if they helped the dealer rather than their own client.

That’s a good point. In light of that, they either will pay or won’t but regardless, they cannot specifically raise the rates on one customer because of a circumstance like that. They have to set premiums in groups.

Not yet. I need to send someone to go get my license plate and any belongings inside the car first. I do not believe they are getting charged at this time because they are still negotiating.

It’s different. I love individual colors. I don’t get too caught up in reasonable miles if the service history and overall inspection checks out. I’ve seen some beat cars with 10k miles.

Update: Looks like the dealer gave up and is releasing the car to the insurance company without any charges, according to my adjuster. Will hear back from him once they have the vehicle about the next steps. Now interested to see what they think the cash market value is.

Since you’re coming from a ‘21 I could see not wanting to go to a pre-LCI- but I’d treat yourself to one with nappa. Big improvement in the overall experience. But it looks like a good balance of being well optioned with low miles.

Price is good and low miles, but agreed that Nappa would be nice. Has a few other desirable options such as ceramic controls. Has the important packages... Executive and Parking Asst (that gives you surround camera, etc.) but doesn't have DAP.. That's a big one that I would personally not go without.

You can do better. Refresh my memory, what color inside and out is the last one and what options did it have? How many miles when you bought it?

This one here, and some of this is subjective. Black Saphire is kind of a mess in terms of swirls and it’s kind of boring IMO. I had it. Got to go Nappa or better. There is a big difference. That gray poplar wood is not very attractive, popular or desirable. Again, all subjective and just my opinion. I also don’t think 42k miles are low. IDK, Black on Black Dakota…..you can do better.

It stated 10k Miles on BMW but the carfax had it at 42k. I actually tried to delete this post after I saw that because I was no longer interseted. I may contact this dealer and throw an offer out at $56k and see if they bite.

I agree with most of what you said except I like the gray poplar wood. I’d prefer it on black leather over the fine line ridge wood or whatever they call what I have.
