If you are outside the 3 years then you need to go to your bmw connected login and purchase the usb map updates. About £70 for a year I think from memory, something like that.
Get a 64gb usb drive and download it to that to update the car. |

I don't think the Evo maps on later cars are easy to update for free
My old 328i with CIC Nav was easily updated once you'd extracted a FSC code and hacked a few files I don't think it's so easy any more unfortunately |

To upgrade your maps the non BMW official way via Connected drive, new maps on your Evo unit you need to patch your headunit in order to recieve "aftermarket" fsc code.

Is this new for g30? Iirc older bmws can directly take lifetime fsc code without any coding. Is there a way to get fsc code for cars that are out of original 3 year period?

Hi,
Go on this page https://www.bmw-connecteddrive.com/c...selection.html Select region ,log in with your car. When you are in BMW ConnectedDrive go to Remote Cockpit then Remote control select map update below, continues according to the instructions. I did it on my G31 from 2017 maps i have 2020. It is completely free. |
