I honestly have no idea specifically what the M550 costs me, I have six cars on my policy. I pay $514.06 per month for all of them.

Wow $287 a month?! That's steep. I pay annually, last September it was about £600 for my M4 in the UK - full coverage.

My 2020 M550 is about $110 per month with USAA.
But I also have 3 other vehicles and my home insured with them.

It really depends where you live and how much the insurance costs.
I know its pretty damn high in Florida and California for example.

I am at ~$135 for my 2020 530xe.

But insurance is very variable between location and companies. I would shop around if your rates feel out of line. High rates are one way insurers can say “we don’t want you” without outright denying you. It doesn’t mean you are a problem in anyway. They may just optimize for college graduates who are married with no kids who bank with credit unions or something.

FL sucks for insurance. My insurance almost doubled when I moved here from the northeast. I pay $250/mo for my M550i and X3 combined.

LOL
I hear this all the time from my Aunt/Uncle who moved to FL about 8 years ago.
Their home, property and auto insurance have tripled. But they do have nice beaches by nearby (what I tell them).
LOL

Yeah I was SHOCKED when I saw my FL auto insurance. I thought I messed something up and went back and forth through my selections a few times to see what happened We're building a home now that's costing us some (welcome to FL real estate) and I cannot wait to see what the home insurance is going to cost

2017 540i. About $2700 a year. One accident 9 years ago. No tickets.

We have some of the highest rates in Canada. Since the UCP provincial government came in 5 years ago and removed rate increase caps, my insurance has steadily gone up from being $1800 a year, and I was insuring new Land Rovers/Jags at that time.

On our '14 535i & '19 540i we're paying ~$2200 per annum; and that's with driving less than 10K miles per year on both cars. No accidents or tickets. We're also both WELL over 16

I saw a documentary a couple years back where people in FL are now just not getting insurance. They deposit the monthly payment into a savings or IRA that gains interest. Short term, it's risky, but if you have some money put aside, its worth it. USAA does not offer home insurance in Florida anymore because it was costing them too much. I've heard other insurance companies have done the same.

You should start looking at home insurance now. My Aunt and Uncle live in FL and their home insurance is now more than their mortgage payment.

2021 BMW M550i and I pay $260/month with excellent credit and no accidents/tickets over 50 years old with Travelers. All other quotes well over $300. It sucks for me in Alabama. Last year with my 2020 M550i it was $187/month.

All the hurricane states now have ridiculous insurance rates.
Feel bad for you bro. But it's how things are now. I dont see how the next generation are going to afford anything unless wages go up 300%.

Yeah I've been hearing about this. The area where I live, hurricanes are not a huge threat (I mean beyond the general threat level for FL), so I am hoping it won't be too bad here. At least locally, it is alright.
