For Beach/Ocean Lovers

My wife is a lover of the ocean, sealife, and beaches. Most of our vacations revolve around visiting new beaches.

I to enjoy the relaxing nature of the beaches and have begun documenting our views and experiences pertaining to the ocean.

Here are a few clips of beaches I have visited recently:

Have any clips of your own? Drop them below.

I also love the beach, even in the winter. I find nothing more soothing than watching and hearing the waves crash, smelling the salt in the air. I has a humbling effect. The rougher the seas, the more therapeutic.

I prefer ocean beaches. I've been to Captiva and Sanibel many times. It's just not the same on the gulf, too calm I guess. Very relaxing from a vacation standpoint though.

Thanks for sharing

Great vids, wife and I love the beach, ocean ourselves. During the summer here we usually go once a week often more, hanging out sunning, boating, diving, fishing. On vacations itís usually to locales which offer those activities. We absolutely need to live within a very short drive to the ocean. SALT LIFE! for us always.

We were planning on heading to Robert Moses Beach this morning but itís raining here till about midday. Maybe weíll take a ride there after it clears up or just take a ride in the Vette out to the Hamptonís for a late lunch if the roads dry up in time.

Awesome! Love Laguna beach. By grandparents had a house in Laguna Hills, overlooking Aliso Beach, about a mile South of Laguna Beach. Fond memories as a kid of walking down to spend an afternoon at the beach there. Great little town there in Laguna.

I enjoy the beaches in the winter as well. When I visited Captiva/Sanibel it was in January, some of the mornings it was like 40 in the morning then warmed up to like 70-80 mid day.

You can walk around in long sleeves and not feel like your going to die from sweat.

I live in Florida, Sarasota to be exact. Siesta Key is 10 mins from where I live. It has won best beach in America multiple times. The Gulf beaches are a different experience. Depending on the water. We do get some waves if there are storms off shore, which stir up the Gulf.

Being from the Northeast I was used to waves, and the sound is relaxing. But I have adjusted to enjoying the calm Gulf/Caribbean beaches as well. As a parent you donít have to worry about your children being sucked out to see or your elders being knocked over by waves. You can truly sit back and relax!

I love all beaches tho, just something about being on the edge of one of the Earths vast unknowns.....the Ocean.

I remember leaving Key West and stopping by Honda Keys. Now that was nice and relaxing

I apologize, Mother Ocean. I've only been to see you once this year, and didn't even dip in your cooling blood/water.
If I walk out the front door of work and stare down the street, I can see the Channel Islands.
Before the current wife, I lived less than a block from the ocean, and life outside of work revolved around surf/sand.

Did the MTV show ruin some of what it was to know of Laguna Beach?

You should be ashamed of yourself. You live a few miles from the beach and have only been there once this year.... This is my new favorite smilie

Went to HS in Newport Beach. Never really liked the Laguna feel, crowds, etc. CdM, Newport, Huntington and Long Beach were favorites. Later I lived in Manhattan Beach.

I’ve visited the Oregon beaches several times, also central and Northern California. For me, on the west coast, strong preference is Oregon (Lincoln City area) because I like the pounding waves, rocky coast and sound of the ocean more than sun and heat.

Have also visited Florida panhandle beaches in winter, when crowds are small, and liked the white sand, clear water, dolphins, etc. Would prefer more surf sound but it is adequate in a condo on the beach.

Liked VA Beach about as much as FL panhandle, although was in Virginia Beach in summer. Also visited coasts of Maine, NH, MA, RI, CT and prefer north of Boston except the winters are harsh and the prices (to buy coastal property) high. But love the rocky coastline and surf!

Years ago was in Biloxi (before casinos) and S. Padre Island, TX and liked both, but as I’ve gotten older I don’t tolerate the heat and crowds as well.

A favorite area to visit is the California coast between Santa Barbara and Monterrey Peninsula. Great views, surf, wildlife, and reasonably quiet for CA.

Did you ever go to Pfeiffer Beach near Big Sur? It is drop dead gorgeous. Those huge rock formations and wild surf. Breathtaking!

I know when MTV went to New Jersey to the Jersey Shore to this day they still talk about it! We went there one summer and all around the area where ever the cast was at the stores, clubs, restaurants would market that. some people claim Jersey Shore ruined the place

\ ˈbēch

Definition of beach (Entry 1 of 2)

1 : shore pebbles : shingle

2a : a shore of a body of water covered by sand, gravel, or larger rock fragments

b : a seashore area

How is the shoreline of a lake not a beach, exactly?

Asks the guy from a state with no real beaches. I honestly feel bad for those that live far away from the ocean. Lake shorelines may technically be considered beaches but it's just not the same as the ocean. Just saying.
