530e Satin Apollo Grey Wrap - Thoughts??

Hi all,

Just got my 530e wrapped in Satin Apollo Grey, roof and side mirrors in Gloss Black. Got Black grills and currently looking for a black spoiler.

Your thoughts please?

DOPE! Maybe just my eyes this is a pre-LCI? I think. Looks a lot like an LCI with the wrap on it. Or I’m crazy. Either way- love it!

Going to do a satin white pearl on mine I believe 😃

Thanks

It's 2018 pre-LCI. Yes the wrap did make the car look newer.

A friend of mine just wrapped his roof in gloss black on his pear white 330e. Looks really good.

Looks great. Came out really nice. I think it would look good with your friends wheels. Definitely need to change up the wheels. LCI tails would really make a huge impact. I think I would have removed that eDrive badge from the C Pillar, it's just an odd place for a badge.

Nice job!!

Is the black grill stock?

I just got my 530e in with the m sport shadowline package and the grill was chrome.

That's a double slat aftermarket grill.

LOVE IT! Idk why I always buy white cars… well apparently not because my last two have been dark. I need some light in my life!

Correct!

I opted for the double slats because the angle is sharper protruding further out compared to the single slats. Very similar to the LCI grills.
You can see it in the second pic.

A bit of light is always a good thing

While mine was originally white and turned it grey. My previous cars were all black too and I'm not ready to go directly white yet
Also, I wanted to try the satin look and I'm enjoying it so far.

Agree with the badge! I tried removing one but while removing the residue of the glue I noticed the satin wrap was turning glossy underneath. My bad I was rubbing it with just a warm cloth.
So I had to stick it back there

I might have a problems with fitting the wheels...they are Double-spoke style 791 M in Bi-color Jet Black, gloss-lathed. Apparently they don't fit G30. The only difference I see in my research is the bore. Anyway, I am going to ask for help here to find a way to fit them.

So the shop that wrapped the car took them off and put them back on after the wrap? This is the right way to do it, but also the opportunity to not put them back. I agree, don't mess with them now, you will screw up the wrap. There is no way you are getting the 3M adhesive remnants off the wrap cleanly. The badge comes off easy enough with some fishing line or dental floss, then the residue needs to be removed. Most badge adhesive residue can be removed with goo gone. I would not risk it though.

Yes I know, I had the opportunity to ask them not to put the badges back, but thought I would see how they look with the wrap then take them off afterwards.
Oh well... I guess I'm gonna have to get used to them on the car now.

For what it's worth, I kind of like them.

Not that big of a deal, they look fine, but yeah, if I had the choice I would have left them off. I don't love the badging on any electric or PHEV car that announces it is different from the rest of the product line.

Wrap is a 10
Roof is a 10
Grill is a 10
Wheels I have to say a 4.5

The car looks so nice but the old style wheels holding you back a little. May need to wrap them gloss black.
