Has anyone retrofitted the wireless charging option? My 2019 540ix doesnt come with it and I was thinking of buying one of these. Has anyone any experience of these types of aftermarket mats or retrofitting the OEM version?

I bought a similar item a almost 2 years ago and other than the plug that goes in the lighter socket failing (was easily replaced), it's been flawless. My iPhone 13 Max fits with a thin, silicone case; it did not with a thicker case.

I fitted one just after buying the car in 2017. G30.
This one completely replaced the existing recess but did not replace the USB by the green LED in the photo.
It came with the correct cable/plug to install, so once I had pulled everything apart to get to it, it was an easy fit.

I bought it from AliExpress.

Downside of this model is the phone (iPhone 13pro) can slide left-right and then not be centred on the charging area. The led turns red when this happens.
I added some foam strips to stop it moving and it's ok 95% of the time.
