CarPlay activation
I have a G30 and have just activated CarPlay via a ENET cable. It seemed to work and now the car shows CarPlay as an option however I can't connect.
I deleted my phone from the car (and vice versa) and reconnected, however when I connected my handset (and a 2nd one I have to test with) only connect with Bluetooth. When I look at the phone in the car I get the following message: "Apple CarPlay is supported. To use, delete device/vehicle connection and pair again" If I search for Wi-fi networks I can see the cars CarPlay WiFi network so I think I have a antenna, but not 100% sure. Anyone seen this before. Any ideas? |

In case someone else has this issue (I'm running iOS 14 so could be a bug):
I connected to the car Wi-fi and then to Bluetooth normally (not as CarPlay). The car then said this device supports CarPlay do I want to use that , I said yes. The phone then popped up to as if it should connect via CarPlay, again said yes. Works! |

1) phone > settings > CarPlay > delete car
2) delete phone from car 3) press and hold mute button for 60 seconds to reboot radio 4) ensure you are not connected to any WiFi automatically (like home WiFi) 5) car > media > manage mobile devices > CarPlay 6)phone > settings > CarPlay Your car should show in this menu, click the available car to connect. I perform retrofits for CarPlay and when it's not connecting, it's usually there is some trace of last connection or antenna is missing. If you are not sure if antenna is there, send me the last 7 of your vin and I can check. |

All you need is a usb flash drive (As per instructions you need to check your software version to see if comparable ) |

You don't need to retrofit a wifi antenna for CarPlay to work? It works without it?
