Bimmerplug LCI tails.... anyone try these?
https://bimmerplug.com/products/lci-...w-g30-5-series
I saw these on their website. Are these Chinese knocks offs? I emailed them and when I asked if they were OEM or replicas, they said they are their “own brand” but made to “OEM standards”. Makes me worry it’s not a retired OEM setup…it’s something from china… i hae seen some really cheap looking knock offs..they leak.. waters gets inside..etc etc. I was just wondering if anyone actually tried these?

I would pass on this, price is high. They are not OEM because OEM requires coding. They obviously modify the inside. They are essentially knock-offs and those go for less than $500. I should know as I have knock-offs for a year now.

OEM Euro LCI’s shipped from Europe are about ther same priced.. $1000 shipped.
Then i just need install / wiring / coding. The wiring looks not too hard from the vids I’ve seen online. Then i just need to find someone to remote code it. I see a lot of you have done it - so it must not be terribly hard. The LCI lights do look nice vs the older version.

From what I read and can tell from the website, they claim they are OEM light casing which they open up and re-wire, most likely with the same Chinese crap used as internals on the knock-offs.
1 I would not buy lights that have been opened and unsealed. 2 I highly doubt they are OEM casing with the BMW stamp. Probably the same ULO shit Abdul is peddling. 3 I would get the knock-offs before these. 4 I wouldn't get knock-offs.

I have been rocking knock offs nearly a year through harsh new England winter and no issues. No there isn't a BMW stamp but I was okay with that because my priority was to avoid wiring changes or coding. With that said, my set was roughly $500 and probably less now so it's a better deal than the shit being sold for $1k for non OEM.

A coworker’s Honda burned to the ground; the culprit was a recently installed knock off headlight.
That’s why I try to stick to OEM or fully certified parts. |

Did you lower your car or is suspension stock?
The body shop is working on my car and they have the capacity to do suspension work. I toyed with the idea of putting on lowering springs, but I’m worried it might damage the OEM adaptive dampers. It would probably look a lot better to be lowered and it would likely corner a little bit better, but if it’s going to blow out my shock absorbers which cost something like 1600 apiece I think I’ll pass Thoughts??
