How To Get Fired From Microsoft
Whoops!
TL;DR Hold your management to the standards of set forth by the company values and the scientific method, or talk to journalists on twitter. https://medium.com/@wtfmitchel/how-t...1-cc2980d33bfe Last edited by MFL; 06-30-2017 at 04:53 PM.. |

When he was saying things like “they kept interrupting me”, it would have been statements like:
- Let’s get back to the topic we are meeting to discuss. - What does that have to do with you directly mailing the CEO? - We have a formal grievance process, and this meeting is part of that process He was “that guy” at work. If you’ve ever had the unrewarding job of being a people manager, he is the psycho you inevitably have to try and manage. I wish him all the best with the ongoing treatment of his diagnosed mental condition. |

Ctrl+F "Autism" - Ah, I see. Hopefully no one actually read that whole thing?
I've been a dev for 2 decades now and even summer interns know you don't air dirty laundry online much less tweet at 'reporters'. LMAO @ the Chomsky quote, how terrible it is to make 6 figures sitting in an air conditioned office all day. |

One was scenario based...but never had 'right' answer. They just kept leading me down a rabbit hole. You had to think quickly and creatively.

Thats a cool perspective since everyone would have a different type answer but can show how quick ones brain works. Its a good way to separate the men from the boys, especially since they don't teach that attribute in school. Tech companies pay very well sometimes even in the lower ranks so at least you will know people are competent enough to approach and help each other at a high level. Thanks for the insight, if any other cool stories about genius or business I'm curious to know any!!

I did not read the whole thing, but quickly realize this guy came from an ideal view of the world and how thing should be. As I person who work in Tech for a very long time, I know the environment well. He is correct in one aspect if you are not creating new products you are just scum.
Here is something I tell people who never dealt with Engineers on a daily bases especially those who are truly designing and creating new products, not support engineers like tech support and other support roles in a company. Engineers create things, therefore they are God, and you never challenge God and tell God he is doing it wrong. As God they are treated as such and everyone else is there to serve them. Most all tech companies have this entire God complex going on and those who are not engineers or design do not understand this. It was obvious this guy did not understand his role in the company. |

Accurate. However, in my situation, ASS is synonymous with Acquired Savant Syndrome.
