Can you warm up your car with BMW Connected?
Just picked up my 2020 M550i less than a month ago, it's my first BMW. Had an Audi S6 before this. It's pretty cold here in Maryland, been trying to figure out if there is way to warm up my car remotely. Wife has a Range Rovers, and they are awesome when it comes to this, you can start the car from the app and set the inside temperature. The only thing I saw on the BMW connected app was "Ventilate Now" and even after putting the ventilation temp in the car setting to completely warm, it doesn't do anything. Even when the car has been "ventilating" for a while, the temp inside the car is still cold. Am I missing something? Any input appreciated, thanks!

You can't warm up the car unless it's an electric or hybrid when it comes to BMW. All other cars are just simply running the fans.

Unfortunately no remote start. Aside from moving air you need engine running to heat or use a/c compressor
I have opposite issue you do, it's hot in south Florida and wish I could do what fiancé can do with her Toyota Camry which is remote start to cool the car before getting in!

One of the reasons I got the 530e is the ability to use the phone app to turn on the AC. Now, in hot Arizona summers, I take out my phone at a golf course after finishing the 17th hole and by the time I get to my car, which had been sitting in the sun for five hours, the car is comfortable.

It's not correct. There is an optional package called additional/auxilary heating while ordering the car. So if you have that option you can actually remote heat the car.

Yeah, BMW has never offered remote start and it is nearly impossible to add it aftermarket. Seems every manufacturer has it. My infiniti and my maserati have it.
