When stepping on the brake, the LCI Euro lights activate both the inner and the outer tail lights. The Pre LCI only lit up the outers.

When you activate the rear fog lights, do the inner tail lights stop illuminating with hitting the brake (and only the outers light up)?

Also, for pre LCI folks too, I assume both rear fog lights light up and not just one?

1 or 2 rear fog light variety is mostly based on country specification.

Thank you. Do you know if your inner tail lights stop from lighting up while braking when the fogs are on?

EDIT, unless you have done the LCI retrofit, pre-LCI inner lights do not light up when braking at all.

I don't have a euro car but I know the fogs are small red lights where the reverse lights are so the lights work normal all light up fine with the red light in the reverse lights area like this

the pre lci inner brake lights don't light up unless you brake hard it's the brake force display

Thanks for this. So your inners still brake with the fog light on? Just confirming.

What I am trying to find out is.

Currently, when the fog is off, all four lights illuminate with the brake. When the rear fog is active, just the outer corners light up when braking. Can you check this? Trying to find out of this is normal or if we need more coding.

that's not supposed to happen all the lights should turn on when braking. that has something to do with the software

I did the lci lights retrofit on my car and I used vic to code them but my car after a few days it kept getting uncoded like the turn signals blinked fast the outer brake lights didn't turn on so I had to go back to pre lci lights.

If you search g30 lci tail lights on YouTube you can see alot of euro cars with this retrofit and the fogs are on with the inner brake light

Thank you for this. I will do that. I've had good luck with the lights functioning as designed with Vic's coding. The inner lights not braking with the fogs on is currently the behavior of a friends car after Vic coded the switch. My car was precoded for the fog switch by Vic but it hasn't arrived. I'm trying to anticipate how they should work if I need to have Vic go back in.

I looked at mine this morning (uk) in a reflection and with fog light off brake lights are both inner and outer lights
With fog light on , I was surprised to see it’s only the outer brake lights that illuminate

Not what I was expecting
But appears to be what it is!
