Icon headlights for pre LCI
I have a 2019 g30 with almost every package but it doesn't have the icon headlights. I have the standard LEDs (two closed circles per light). Mostly wondering if anyone has done the conversion or doesn't really care about their headlights and would swap haha. I think icons are about 1,200 a set and the LED's are about a grand. Part of me is hoping to just bump into someone around town with them and ask if they'd let me just swap those suckers (lots of loaded tech guys near me that do not care whatsoever) but that's a pipe dream.

I can't imagine anyone would swap Icons for standard LEDs... Unless they're high AF.

You’d probably be best off finding a donor car from a crash or someone selling parts from a previously damaged car that didn’t impact the headlights. There would be at least some coding involved and other changes (like the HBA stalk). I believe someone has done it so you’d have to search.
You’d also have to decide which headlights you were swapping to. The LCI headlights have a few more needs than the pre-LCI ones since BMW changed the modules slightly. Also, the LCI headlights lose the ability to be steering adaptive (not sure if coding brings that back). But I agree with lnxguy no one would just “swap” them with you since they are: 1) a very expensive build option when new 2) visually a lot nicer 3) they perform a LOT better than the standard lights They’d have to be either very high or very very dense. |

It is a question of what matters though. Just the look or more? |

Finding a crashed car is more likely, does anyone have a good way to search for those in your area? Kinda a shot in the dark but hey better than nothing might as well try |
