Chassis error - 520d
Hi Guys,
Ive been getting an error on my iDrive for the past week or so. It simply states Chassis - You can continue driving. Chassis function restricted. Ive run this through a scanner and ive got the following fault code: 482974 It hasnt happened for the past couple of days and does go when I restart the car. Anyone got any ideas, or had this before? 482974 VDP: Vehicle level - not adjustable
Fault Code Description VDP: Vehicle is found completely or partly in an extreme condition or no self-levelling suspension can be carried out. Self-levelling suspension cannot be performed independently. Service Plan 1. Query of repeat repair Yes: Continue with 2) in the test plan No: Carry out ride height calibration. 2ND Carry out a visual inspection of the air spring system. 3. Check of electrical components 4. Check of mechanical components |

Check the level sponsors in each wheel well. Likely one is damaged or unplugged(damaged wire). Then you may need to have a height adjustment done or use ISTA to do it yourself if you have it.
