Issue with Interior LED dome/map lights

I just recently purchased a set of interior LEDs, and everything works fine besides the front dome/map lights.

I believe other members experienced the same issue but it ended without a solution. So here I am again...

I installed the kit and after driving for couple days I discovered that the front map/dome lights will not work after driving for a random period of time (that sounds odd but it is happening to me)

After restarting the engine the front map/dome lights work
again. Then, the front dome/map lights have no response again by pushing the buttons while driving for a extended moment (most likely 5 mins)

Basically they are repeating the cycle: not working while driving for
5 mins --> work again after restarting engine --> not working while
driving for 5 mins

I checked the connection of the front map/dome lights to make sure
they are firmly in place and yes they all are.

I switched back the OEM bulbs and the front map/dome lights work just
fine with any error even when driving.

Could it be the design of the bulb? Or other issues that cause this error?

I had this same issue and haven't found a fix.

My map lights didn't work but my dome did. They would stay on for 5 -10 secs and shut off. Once restarted they would work again. The kit was from f1 autohaus

Totally feel you aresh...but I thought the kit from f1 autohaus is error free?

So really there is no answer to this one? Does not have to be a kit just a error free replacement LED bulb will do

^^^ I have the EXACT same issue! I got a set from trinity autosports and my map lights will turn on for 5-10 seconds and turn off. About 5 mins into driving, my dome lights wont work anymore either.

However, if the car is off, the dome lights light up when I lock or unlock. Im in the works to return my kit.

Im told the kit E92-lighting has "canbus" (whatever that is) and they work fine. so I might try those.

I have the same issue with the kit from E92 lighting, but I am in the process of getting exchange for the dome/map lights, will update.

Had the interior lights all the way home today
About a 25 min drive
Stayed on all the time
Paid $62 for the whole kit
Works great

Ok update: I replaced the dome and map lights with e92 lightings kit and they work without any issues. Except for one flaw. The map lights are so dim it's pointless to use them. But they Dnt error out and stay on. The dome lights are plenty bright.

Yes map light is really dim but map light is very bright, only if we could divide up the brightness between the two then that will be perfect.

So you do not have any issue with them? aww...lucky you

I too have the exact same problem! Mine is an E90 MY 06. The footwell, and door lights work fine. They are the same ones being used in my dome/map lights. Mine are Philips brand, so I don't see why this is happening. Is it possible that they are not receiving enough current? I know you can modify that somehow via coding, physicists please jump in!

I got mine replaced and now they all work perfectly! Trinity autosports. Talk to Joe if yOur looking for a working set. Mine are super bright and very white.

I am experiencing the same damn issue. I have now gone through a second set of lights. They stay on for 3 seconds then shut off until the engine is shut off and turned on.

Weird... I've had three sets of interior LED bulbs and I've never had such an issue. I bought mine from eBay: https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odk...w=e90&_sacat=0

Cheap, no issues, and last a long time. Not obnoxiously bright, either. Just pure white light.
