2017 vs 2018 G30
hello.
i am in the US, and here we only get 530i and up trims. no diesel thanks to the dipshits at Audi who ruined the image of diesels here. anyway, i have already ordered a 2018 540i and it's already on the way here. when i was placing the order, i could not for the life of me figure why the 2018 model started at a higher price. my dealer and a few other sources claimed that it came with something extra that the 2018 model did not. what does the 2018 base model 530 or 540 have that the 2017 did not? thanks |

You'd have to look at the configurator for the US. I'm in theUk so not sure but it might be that some options are now fitted as standard (for the US) or it might be exchange rates.
The price in the UK also looks to have gone up a bit. When I placed my order at the dealer, they remarked at how many price increases there have been generally recently belived to be down to our pound not being worth as much as it was. |

Look under the G30 Prices/Ordering/Tracking forum - there is a thread there called '2018 BMW 5 Series Pricing and Summary of Changes (U.S.)' which should be of help...
