Hesitiation
Ok folks my X1 is now a year old and has adopted a really annoying habit of stuttering when going about 60 along the motorway. I can't work out if it's hunting between gears or there is a more sinister problem (some egr valve problem or something) but last week when pulling out of my street it basically just died (almost like stalling a manual car). I started it again to get an amber restricted drivetrain performance message but this now seems to have cleared. Long story short, car is booked in for a check on Monday 8 January 2018 but has anyone else encountered this problem and had it sorted????

First time I've seen this reported.
Sounds like an engine 'miss', which can be due to many different things. What's the fuel quality like in your area?

Ok (thanks for the response ttimbo) - car was in yesterday and lo and behold it was an egr valve. Got to consider my driving style (occasionally maybe I should drive it like I've stolen it lol) but maybe some premium fuel or and additive is required. All good for now and will keep you all posted if any problems reoccur.
