Bimmercode and VIM - Has anyone done this?
I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this - so can anyone here confirm whether they've coded VIM using Bimmercode (on IDrive6)?
The option appears to be in there, but I wasn't able to get it to work. The pictures and other videos seem to all be based around IDrive 5 Been told that there's a specific VIN/ENET coding solution out there, but if Bimmercode is able to do it I hopefully won't need to go down that path.

I did it on mine, and it works as expected. As far as I recall I had to try twice before it worked. Just followed the instructions in Bimmercode.

OK thanks for confirming. Tried again a couple of times and eventually got it through. Strange thing that after I had the errors, the coding suggested VIM was enabled, but then didn't work.
Cleared the setting, and reset, .. after that it came good finally.

Does anyone know if VIM/Bimmercode will work with 2021 models? Not sure what version of ID is shipped with 2021 LCI models. I have X5 and 535ix 2021 models on order.
Also, which OBD adapter you guys recommend for Bimmercode? |
