Issues with BM3 install

I guess you could put this under "RANT"
I have had a ongoing issue with installing BM3 from Pro Tuning Freaks on my 2020 M550. I bought the tune Nov 27 and as yet cannot get it to install. Did a successful unlock with Mission Performance M-Link. Pro tuning keeps telling me to do this or that and I have bought 3 OBD cords and a new laptop. Now they have said to be ready for a remote install but after 3 tries waiting for them hours at the appointed time still no one or any help, always Manyana another time. Money well spent?????

Well rant over Pro Tuning Freaks got the tune loaded and it works great. I just don't know what I was doing wrong.

Now I understand what everyone has been talking about!
My 2020 M550 with a BM3 stage one 93 octane is just flat scary fun. Scary because now the tires will spin on a take off and that will mean new tires. Scary because the temptation is there and I do not wish to get any attention from local enforcement. Fun due to take offs are just quicker. Getty up is just quicker. When no one is looking CRAZY!!!
Gonna take it for a Christmas cruise to Dallas then OK (long open areas with straight roads and no traffic in the north western side) then back to the Dragons tail again.

Welcome to the club oldtexasdog!! Just curious, what was the issue that prevented you from loading the tune?

The one thing to watch out for is the explosive response that kicks in about a second after hitting the gas hard. More than once, while making a quick turn from a standing start (e.g. pulling out from a driveway onto a busy road) it almost jerked the steering wheel out of my hands.

Your right about watching the take offs from a turn! Serge at Pro Tuning Freaks just said I had skipped a step? Not which one. Truly the car is a blast to drive in all ways. Not that it was a slouch before but now I don't think their are a lot on the street that could come close.

Looking froward to the drive in it from NC to Texas then Tulsa in a couple of days.

I'm so happy you got it sorted. The stage 1 tune is amazing for our car. The B58 packs a punch when tuned (I had a 540i stage 1 and sold it to buy an m550i), but it is not. the animal that the N63 is when it's tuned! The car is not only faster but lighter... I recommend one more software mod, tune your transmission with xHP! Will make a world of difference. Here's the link
