I agree, but it takes time to get these new cars dialed-in so the drivers has a winning formula... RIP 6er Coupe !

They are not agressive enough. Not fighting. Look at Porsche drivers.

I was at the race today. Great event despite the poor finish for BMW.

Aw it's not hard to be a fan. The M6 and M8 are fat and new. Once they're dialed in they'll do great. I mean have you seen a Bentley Continental?! Things will come together for BMW shortly I predict.

M6 is out... Enter the M8!

The new M8 was made to dominate.

They clearly haven't got the cars sorted out quite yet.

They clearly haven't got the cars sorted out quit yet.
100%! I just wish BMW would submit smaller cars into racing like the old days. It would be so dam sweet if the new G series M3 had a twin turbski V8! In a small chassis you could dial it down for reliability and easily compete in class. I mean imagine the S65 retuned with some twins! It's hard for the M8 to compete against Ferrari, Porsche, Austin Martin and some of the others that are more fit in size.

It’s also the BOP folks. A few adjustments here and there, BMW wins. More adjustments, they come in last.

I mean without the BOP you guys realize that Ford, Ferrari or McLaren would walk away with the championship, with perhaps a worthy challenge from Corvette.

Those mid engined turbo racers are low, light, sleek (aero) and very powerful. They’d make mince meat of BMW and Porsche (whose engine is great in a BOP scheme but too puny in a hypothetical derestricted series).

And I’m with you, simply don’t understand why BMW again started with their biggest coupe as the template for a race car. Why work against the simple physics when you could work with it.

I wonder if Porsche is considering racing the Panamera.
