Is this light pattern normal?

I recently had my left front headlamp assembly replaced due to a fender bender.. Since getting it back, I have now noticed a "divot" in the left light pattern. I remember always having the step off from the left to right side pattern, but I dodn' remmber the divot. Is this normal and I'm just not remembering correctly, or do you think it may needThanksto be adjusted or even the possibility that the replacement headlamp assembly has a defect. Thanks

Looks about right to me, mine (icon adaptive) are not quite flat.
Something that might some difference is if you have some steering lock on and the lights are in adaptive mode so they would move as you steer so the pattern will change skittle as one light merges with the other so a greater or lesser extent.

Looks about normal. I noticed in mine I am actually able to see 2 small "cut outs" like yours depending on the steering angle.

The steering related light adjustment is always active on the G30. Even on the base headlights LED headlights in the US.

Oh ok different to the uk then. If the light switch is in the on position , they don't move. They only move if in the (A) position

It is the same in the US. The "A" position is available even on the basic headlights. The upgraded headlights adds automatic high beams and a housing difference that does improve visibility, but both levels of headlights have auto leveling, steering adapting, and cornering lights.

It's too bad the automatic highbeams can't be turned on by default. That drives me crazy.

I very much agree!

It works so well it should be on by default if we're in A and we can use the button to turn it off for some reason. I haven't yet seen it fail to properly turn off and dazzle a driver.
